Training
The basic educational qualification of a Canadian physiotherapist is currently in the process of changing from a four-year baccalaureate program to a Masters entry level degree. By 2010 it is anticipated that all physiotherapy education programmes in Canada will offer the Masters programme.

Clinical experience is obtained through periods of supervised clinical practice and internship in accredited facilities (hospitals and clinics).

In Canada, fourteen universities offer a physiotherapy degree. In BC, the programme is located at The University Of British Columbia (UBC). Their website is www.physicaltherapy.med.ubc.ca and more information on their programme is available there.
