Briefings for Physicians
PABC's most recent public opinion survey told us that most British Columbians go to their family physician with physiotherapy-treatable conditions. We therefore took action and communicated through a newsletter to family physicians the value of physiotherapy (connecting PT to GP).
Briefings:
- Gives busy family physicians the opportunity to find out about research in physiotherapy without doing all the searching.
- Facilitates appropriate referrals by highlighting areas of practice that physicians may be unaware of.
- Positions physiotherapy as effective evidence-based rehabilitation.
Briefings is sent directly to family physicians in BC and to PABC members.
